Acknowledgments

I would especially like to acknowledge the staunch support, invaluable input, professional marketing and tireless energy of Renee Champagne, without whom this proposal would undoubtedly still be sitting in a dark, unfrequented corner of cyberspace. The subtitle of the FamFit proposal was her recommendation as well as various other supportive recommendations, hopefully all of which I've acknowledged within the proposal. If this proposal is approved, Renee, it is due to our synergism and mutual devotion to military family members.

Sincere thanks also to Tricia Groenheim who suggested FamFit's application to Warrior Transition Units, and provided significant contributions to formulating that section in the final proposal.

I've revised the Military Family Fitness Proposal on multiple occasions to improve its functionality, integrating valuable feedback from military-affiliated supporters in the states and overseas. The foundation of the proposal, however, has not changed. It was founded as a response to the resounding success experienced of free fitness programs provided for military families by Fitness Trainers across the European Theatre: Renee Champagne and Tricia Groenheim in Kaiserslautern, Courtney Rife in Stuttgart, and Shannon Linville in Grafenwoehr. That these four women, all military spouses, working on five different installations, simultaneously yet completely unbeknownst from one another felt obliged to volunteer hundreds of free hours of their professional services in this manner to benefit military families demonstrates the dire need for such services.

Such critical services should never have to depend on volunteerism to survive.

About Me

My photo
I am an active duty Army soldier's housewife, and a former GS-12 IT Specialist who resigned in 2007 in order to have our first child while stationed overseas. My husband spent two 14-month tours in Afghanistan, one of which was 4-weeks following the birth of our son.
